About Us

Rollings Middle School of the Arts opened in 1997 in historic Summerville.

Our first home began serving the community in 1924 as the original Summerville High School. Summerville High School’s stadium is still located on this site. Our charming, historical structure has been transformed into the district office. We moved into our current location in Summers Corner in 2018.

Rollings provides outstanding arts education in various disciplines. Our current core offerings are band, dance, piano, strings, theater, visual arts, and vocal music, although past offerings also included core study of handbells and creative writing. Fifth-grade students audition in the fall for approximately 280 spots.

Please visit our district’s Fine & Performing Arts Department page for more information about the audition process. The direct phone number is 843.832.5532.
